Kris Millsap is a producer, title designer and visual effects artist. He is a producer on TOAD, the new feature directed by Adam Rifkin. He learned the craft of film titles as an apprentice to Dan Perri, the designer behind the Star Wars logo and the title sequences for Taxi Driver, The Exorcist and Airplane!, and has since created opening production credits for Renfield Productions, futureIII entertainment, Caption Entertainment and Hemlock Circle Productions, along with the motion graphics for the art installation in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters on Apple TV+.
He is a partner at Trailers From Hell, the cult film site co‑founded by director Joe Dante, and produced the first nine seasons of its podcast, The Movies That Made Me, hosted by Dante and Oscar‑nominated screenwriter Josh Olson. Guests have included Guillermo del Toro, Roger Corman, Bill Hader, Joe Bob Briggs and RZA. In 2022 he launched the Trailers From Hell 24/7 streaming channel, programming a library of more than 1,800 trailers and filmmaker commentaries.
Alongside his film work, Kris has spent 25 years in advertising, working in brand development, motion graphics and commercials for brands including Disney, Coca‑Cola, McDonald’s, Wendy’s, ICEE, Intel, T‑Mobile, Netflix, AMC Theatres, Cinemark, Johnnie Walker, Crown Royal and Captain Morgan. He grew up in Branson, Missouri, where his family ran a recording studio and one of the region’s first video rental stores, and studied theater and film at the University of Kansas.
